Lie To Me: Brook Benton Singing the Blues (1962), chronicled his move into the blues and the soul ballad, while the brilliant Endlessly (1959), featured the classic title track (which became a hit single), plus sublime renditions of some standards from The Great American Songbook, such as “Because of You,” “Time After Time,” and “Blue Skies,” all delivered with Benton’s silky mellow baritone voice.
