This release presents the original classic album "Brandenburg Gate: Revisited" (Columbia CS 8763) featuring the classic Dave Brubeck Quartet with Paul Desmond, Eugene Wright and Paul Morello performing five tunes arranged by Daveâs brother Howard Brubeck, who also conducts the orchestra. As a bonus, the original quartet studio versions of âBrandenburg Gateâ (hence the use of ârevisitedâ in the title), âSummer Songâ, and âKathyâs Waltzâ, as well as a complete rarely heard live set taped by the group in Italy in 1959, which includes a quartet reading of the title track.
