The 1957 Broadway show ran for 732 performances before going on tour and the production was nominated for six Tony Awards. The innovative 1961 musical film based on the play was nominated for eleven Academy Awards and won ten.This release presents both the Broadway Cast Recording and the Original Film Soundtrack in a single edition.
