This essential release presents Albert King’s underrated debut album, The Big Blues. It was originally issued in 1962 by the King label and has been long unavailable on CD. In addition to the original masterpiece, this remastered collector’s CD also contains 8 bonus tracks, consisting of hard-to-find sides released by the small Bobbin label and King Records during the same early period. This set offers listeners the opportunity to hear the development of one of the most important heroes of electric blues.
