Cecil Payne, Duke Jordan - Brooklyn Brothers SEALED NEW CD
Sold Out$9.99
LONG OUT-OF-PRINT ALBUM
Don Schlitten, the man who had a lot to do with Cecil Payne and Duke Jordan's recording for Signal 18 years before, was responsible to bringing them together again for this important 1973 reunion: their seventh joint recorder encounter, and the first in eleven years.
Stalwart bassist Sam Jones and drummer Al Foster complete the quartet. The programme was designed to showcase Jordan and Payne both as composer and as solists. "Brooklyn Brothers" is truly a meeting on kindred spirits in perfect harmony and one of the most satisfying sessions they ever put down together.
