    ALL TRACKS FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER ON CD !!

    This release presents, for the first time ever on CD, an extremely rare early quartet performance by the Dave Brubeck Quartet with Paul Desmond. As this and other recordings from the period evidence, the Brubeck formation’s fame and popularity grew by playing college campuses. This particular set was privately recorded and issued at the time in a limited edition ultra rare LP by members of the university under the title of A University Listens to Dave Brubeck. It sheds new light on the beginnings of the group, and features amazing and extended improvisations by both Brubeck and Desmond.
