Originally released in 2007, The Meanest of Times is the sixth studio album from Dropkick Murphys. The record combines Celtic punk, hard-driving rock and traditional Irish influences with songs about family, loyalty, school days and working-class life in Boston.

The album includes “The State of Massachusetts,” “Famous for Nothing,” “Johnny, I Hardly Knew Ya” and “(F)lannigan’s Ball.” Its mix of original material and traditional influences captures the forceful guitars, folk instrumentation and shared vocals central to the band’s sound.
