Ella wouldn’t record duets like these again until the mid-1970s.All of these intimate recordings, on which the singer performs renditions of well-known standards, have been compiled here for the first time ever on a single set. Included here are the complete albums "Ella Sings Gershwin" (Decca DL-5300) –her earliest attempt in the songbook form–, "Songs in a Mellow Mood" (Decca DL-8068), and "Let No Man Write My Epitaph" (Verve MG V-4043), among other material.
