This edition presents the complete original album "Rhythm Is My Business" (Verve V6-4056), on which Ella Fitzgerald is backed by a band conducted by organist Bill Doggett featuring such stars as Phil Woods, Taft Jordan, Kai Winding, Melba Liston, and Hank Jones, among others. Two songs not included on the LP that complete the sessions have been added here as a bonus, as well as Ella’s 1957 Newport set in its entirety.
