Both LPs were recorded in Paris and released only in the US by Capitol for the American market. "Our Paris" was the first of Pourcel’s Paris (and French)-themed albums recorded for Capitol under the international label series “Capitol of the World”. Pourcel’s Pastels was released in 1961 when the popularity of Franck Pourcel was already well established in the US.
