Description
Originally released in 2016, Popestar is a five-track EP from Swedish rock band Ghost. Led by the original song “Square Hammer,” the release continues the theatrical heavy-metal and hard-rock style of the band’s Meliora era.

The remaining tracks reinterpret songs by Echo & the Bunnymen, Simian Mobile Disco, Eurythmics, and Imperiet. The selections retain Ghost’s melodic character while drawing from post-punk, electronic rock, and new wave influences.
