    This release contains Jimmy Smith’s complete classic 1960 LPs Back at the Chicken Shack (Blue Note BST84117) and Midnight Special (Blue Note BST84078), both of which feature the leader on organ backed by Stanley Turrentine on tenor sax, Kenny Burrell on guitar, and Donald Bailey on drums. The two albums were recorded during the course of the same session, on April 25, 1960.
