Description
Originally released in 1988, Conscious Party combines Ziggy Marley & The Melody Makers’ roots reggae sound with polished pop arrangements and close vocal harmonies. Produced by Talking Heads members Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth, the album balances social commentary with songs about love, identity and everyday life.

“Tomorrow People” and “Tumblin’ Down” helped bring the group to a wider international audience. The title track, “New Love” and “Dreams of Home” further showcase the melodic songwriting and family harmonies at the center of the record.
