    This special release includes 26 studio tracks, consisting of all the sensational singles (both A & B sides) Maxine Brown made for the small Nomar and the major ABC-Paramount labels, between 1960 and 1962. Twelve of these splendid songs would conform Maxine’s debut LP, the iconic The Fabulous Sound of Maxine Brown, issued on the Wand imprint.

    All of these seminal numbers have been remastered in this collector’s edition, which gives ample proof of Maxine Brown’s versatility as well as her rightful place in the R&B and early soul pantheon.
