    This CD compiles Miles Davis’ best ballad interpretations, recorded during his golden age of acoustic jazz in the mid-1950s. His intimate and subtle sound is present throughout this compilation, which includes many quartet performances (with Miles as the main soloist), as well as other tracks recorded in a quintet format. Important jazz figures like John Coltrane, Bill Evans and Charles Mingus are also featured here.
