This quintessential vinyl edition includes Elvis’ fourth soundtrack LP, "Blue Hawaii", which was originally released on the RCA-Victor label in October 1961. The album is certainly one of Elvis’ best soundtracks from the ‘60s and was his biggest hit LP. It stayed at number 1 on the US album charts for a then record 20 weeks. This marked Elvis’ comercial peak! No other Presley movie features as many songs as "Blue Hawaii". In all, there are 14 of them, starting with the title number over the opening credits and ending with “Hawaiian Wedding Song” during the film’s final scene. A dozen others are interspersed throughout the movie.
