Originally released in 1992, Whut? Thee Album is the debut studio album from Newark rapper Redman. Driven largely by Erick Sermon’s funk-heavy production, the record introduced Redman’s animated delivery, intricate rhymes, humor, and unconventional storytelling.

The album includes the singles “Blow Your Mind,” “Time 4 Sum Aksion,” and “Tonight’s da Night,” along with an appearance by Erick Sermon on “Watch Yo Nuggets.” Its combination of East Coast hip-hop and deep funk samples established the sound Redman continued to develop throughout the 1990s.
